307,000 miles, 4 wheel drive, 4.2 liter straight 6, manual choke, 5 speed manual tranny, 33x9.5x15 BF Goodrich tires, Man-A-Fre tuned ceramic-coated header, Old Man Emu 2.5" Lifted Heavy Duty Suspension and shocks, Kenwood-Sirius Satellite Radio, Cobra CB radio, custom bumpers by Gary Coberly, weighs 5000+ lbs., gets 14.2 mpg w/85% highway driviing, which is pretty good for this truck with a tractor engine. I get that "good" of gas mileage because of regular tuneups, tall tires, and the 5 speed. Not for Sale! |

| I bought this vehicle in January of 1987 from the original owner when it had only 30,000 miles on it. It was only a little over 1 year old because it was built in September '85.
This truck has been my daily driver ever since. I never had to do one single thing to it until it had 112,000 miles on it. Since then it has required a lot of maintenance. See below for details. I have taken it to Santa Fe, NM twice, to South Texas several times, and to the Ozarks in Arkansa 5 times, to the hill country countless times, to the annual off-road Roundup in Katemcy,TX 3 times. But by far this trucks greatest adventure was a trip the the Maze District in Canyonlands National Park Utah. 10 days of expedition style off roading that tested me and my truck. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I plan on keeping it forever and taking it on many more road trips, like Big Bend, & the Copper Canyon. |

My mechanic since June 2002 has been Mike Dajda of Dajda Do-Rite in North Richland Hill, TX 817-427-4857 I highly recommend him. My mechanic since May 2005 has been Randy Suttles of Irving Texas. I highly recommend him. Email for his contact info. since May 2006 Randy Suttles in Irving has been my main mechanic (972-977-7524). I still replace things like starters, alternators, disc pads, master cylinders, etc., but Randy does most of the work. I highly recommend him. in the future I would like to replace carpeting, add rock sliders, and a rear locker, add long range gas tank, and mount spare tire to rear. |
